City of Dublin

Dublin is a welcoming city with a faded grandeur and a comfortably worn sense of friendliness. Famous for its craic (crack) - a mixture of repartee, humour, intelligence and acerbic insight that has attracted visitors, writers and intellectuals for centuries. The city’s heart is divided north-south by the River Liffey with O’Connell’s Bridge connecting the two parts. The pubs (where much of the city’s social life is conducted), cafés and restaurants abound and Irish musicality contributes to much hustle & bustle throughout. On the north side, most of the remaining Georgian houses built in the 18th century stand side by side with modern glass and concrete office buildings and newer apartment blocks. The Southside is known for its vibrant lifestyle - affluent neighborhoods, cultural attractions and shopping districts.

CLOON KEEN is a unique perfumery rooted in Irish tradition - conjuring a sense of timeless place and enduring culture through its lyrical and poetic scents. Ireland is a tapestry of places whose names are steeped in history, nature, remembrance and myth. Cloon Keen takes its name from one of these places, with its origin in the Gaelic ‘Cluain Caoin', meaning ‘splendid meadow’. Cloon Keen scents defy cliché - they speak of gentleness and lyricism, folklore and magic, suppression and rebellion, romance and
determination. Cloon Keen in Dublin is located in Unit 3 Powerscourt Townhouse 59 on William St. S  Website: CLOONKEEN

The Merrion

THE LARTISIEN COLLECTION

THE MERRION, located in the heart of Dublin city centre is the capital’s most luxurious five-star hotel and member of The Leading Hotels of the World. Home to 2-star Michelin Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud, The Cellar Bar, The Garden Room and the intimate No. 23 Cocktail Bar. The Merrion is also home to an important private collection of 19th & 20th century art to which the hotel’s grand interiors offer the perfect backdrop - a blend of classical architecture and noteworthy Irish and European art. As a city centre hotel, The Merrion is uniquely privileged to have two period gardens designed by Jim Reynolds, the noted Irish landscape artist. The smaller of the two gardens known as “Lady Mornington’s Garden”, links the Main House to the Garden Wing - this contemporary wing completes the enclosure of the garden with many of the guestrooms overlooking the larger, central garden. In summer, the large garden becomes an extension of the drawing rooms in the Main House with waiter service so that guests can dine al fresco. The lovely surroundings of The Merrion’s Drawing Rooms are the perfect place to relax for an afternoon tea. ‘ART TEA’ is the most lavish afternoon tea in Dublin serving miniature sweet creations inspired by works of J.B Yeats, William Scott and Louis Le Brocquy.

HUNT DINNER PARTY

Malahide Castle & Gardens

‘The Hunt Dinner Party’ is a direct reference to the historical hunting traditions at Malahide Castle inspired by Lady Joyce, a former resident of the castle in a photo with her Irish Wolfhounds. This event is designed to immerse guests into the 18th century, imagining themselves as part of a returning hunt party. It is a themed dining experience intended to bring a unique aspect of the castle’s history to life through storytelling, period ambiance and a gourmet 4 course meal. No animals are killed or harmed as part of this experience, nor does the event promote contemporary hunting. It celebrates the dogs - with focus purely on historical re-enactment and culinary enjoyment. The menu is contemporary cuisine with vegan and vegetarian options - about a 25 minute drive outside Dublin.
