What's Après-Ski ?
Iconic photographer Slim Aarons immortalized the Après scene with his "images of skiers in fashionable sets in the aesthetic respites of Saint Moritz - aglitter in the setting sun recanting their off-piste adventures while sipping Chateauneuf du Pape..." Après-ski translates from French to literally mean “after ski” - essentially encompassing all the activities people tend to do after a ski run. Though there’s no actual set time to determine when it begins, après-ski enters its full swing once the ski lifts make their final round and can continue late into the night. Post-ski customs vary by location, from burgers and brew at the lodge pub to Champagne and caviar amongst good friends - and depending on where you're staying, your après-ski could also include a night of live music performances, DJs and dancing or a cozy meal slopeside. In the end, it’s all about bonding from a thrilling day on the slopes.

POWDER HAVEN
Ski-in, Ski-out
Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings' private Northern Utah Ski Resort is offering 34 new homes after the first 39 lots sold. Powder Haven is part of Powder Mountain - a ski resort outside Ogden, Utah that has undergone a transformation after the billionaire bought it in 2023 with changes that included private terrain for Powder Haven residents. The next release will offer another 34 custom lots, most between two and five acres, (according to the Robb Report global luxury publication). The ski-in, ski-out lots average about $4 million each. Hastings and his family built their home at Powder Mountain in 2021 after two decades of skiing in Park City. Powder Mountain has plans for three new lifts over the next two seasons, including a new private lift only for Powder Haven homeowners this year. The resort opens for its 2025-26 season on December 12th.
