HOTEL LUCILE
Opening on September 14th, 2026 - Hotel Lucile is a 25-room boutique hotel housed in a restored 1931 church in Silver Lake area of Los Angeles, bringing the corner of Griffith Park Boulevard and Lucile Avenue back to life. Casetta Hotels and Electric Bowery have converted the Romanesque church - keeping the chapel, stained glass and the rooftop cross as one of the most adaptive reuse projects on the eastside. Everything happens within the original walls. The church originated as the Bethany Presbyterian and spent its first decades as a hub of active congregation. In the mid-1960s, East West Players established its headquarters at the church as the nation's first Asian American theater company. After the 1980s, the building sat unused for long stretches. Venice - based architecture firm, Electric Bowery restored the cathedral scale ceilings and stained glass, layering in hand-painted murals, draped archways, antique furnishings, a hidden garden courtyard along with a pool and rooftop deck with views of the city.

SOUS SOUS
Restaurant and Bar Sous Sous is located in the church's original main sanctuary - pairing soaring ceilings and original stained glass, with an adaptable stage for performances and receptions, also available for a full restaurant buyout.
THE RESTAURANT: is New French American cuisine inspired from the American South to the South of France - Charleston to Marseilles and New Orleans to Nice. Fish from local waters, vegetables from the market and a raw bar that changes with the catch of the season with plenty of herbs, citrus, spice, a French hand in the kitchen with a little mix of Southern hospitality.

THE BAR: continues the Southern spirit with cocktail classics and a wine list of French staples alongside lesser-known finds - crisp whites, chillable reds and drinks that keep things unexpected.

​IN THE ROOM: guests are welcomed with daily coffee service and local print newspaper as well as an Erewhon stocked mini bar.

Gallery Collaboration
Casetta has paired the building with an art program in collaboration with Rhett Baruch Gallery, that includes rotating exhibitions and artist residencies. In the dining room, a mural of Eaton Canyon by artist Erin Lynn Welsh anchors the space with more artworks to be enjoyed throughout the property.​​​​​​​

the Chapel
The former sounds of the 1931 church take life today with a lounge in the former choir loft and a private cocktail room in the old Organ Room. The stage has become a private dining room and the sounds echoing from the playground of long ago is now the pool deck. Live entertainment on its way, keeping this landmark alive and defining hotel-anchored living as a luxury format of this decade. There is also the quieter effect of a restored landmark that stabilizes everything around it. A corner that has spent time behind a fence, now anchors itself to its neighborhood parks, farmers market, local eateries, wine bars and the hillside houses that feed down to Sunset Boulevard.

Sunset Triangle Plaza: at the junction of Griffith Park Boulevard, Sunset Boulevard and Edgecliffe Drive - take a stroll or bike to Silver Lake's car-free Sunset Triangle Plaza, a vibrant hub of activity that transforms into a bustling farmers' market, drawing in locals and visitors alike. The plaza is cordoned off from traffic by large planters and features bistro tables, umbrellas, bike parking and those green polka‑dot‑painted street markings.

Silver Lake Reservoir: sits right in the heart of Silver Lake, a 2.2-mile loop where joggers, dog walkers, young families and creatives coexist around a man-made lake that’s a soothing respite to the chaos of Sunset Boulevard just a few blocks away. On the north side of the reservoir sits Silver Lake Meadow - a wide, grassy park where people sunbathe, picnic, nap, stretch, do yoga, read books and relax.

Micheltorena Heart Stairs: in 2015, three artists - Carla O’Brien and Mandon Bossi, along with Corinne Carrey worked in secret to turn the Micheltorena Stairs on Sunset Boulevard across the street from where Micheltorena meets Sunset, into a brightly colored, heart-adorned staircase. They ascend into the Southern Silverlake Hills, crossing Larissa, before spilling out onto Micheltorena below Sunset.

Los Feliz: a nearby haven for architecture buffs and food lovers and is also one of the most dog-friendly neighborhoods in Los Angeles. With shaded hiking trails to cafes with water bowls out front, the neighborhood is full of places to stroll with your pup from The Oaks to wandering through Laughlin Park.

​Griffith Observatory: is Southern California’s gateway to the cosmos where visitors can look through telescopes, explore exhibits, see live shows in the Samuel Oschin Planetarium and enjoy spectacular views of Los Angeles and the Hollywood Sign.​​​
